Azize Aslan is a Kurdish sociologist living in Mexico. She is an activist of the Kurdistan women's movement. She studied economics and got her master's degree in development economics in Turkey. In those years she began to support the organization of women's cooperatives in Kurdistan. In her PhD dissertation she investigated the autonomous process of Rojava (Kurdistan-Syria) and the organization of the social economy and published “Anticapitalist Economy in Rojava. Contradictions of the Revolution in Kurdish struggle” in Spanish.
